Adventures with Molly...

Mom and Dad are in Boston for the week, and since Molly can't co-habitate with cats, we are staying at their house to dog sit.

So far it's been pretty uneventful. The weather has been really hot, which slows the dog (and us!) down considerably. We stay up later than Mom & Dad, so Molly is not that energetic in the morning, another good thing. We are not morning people.

Bryan's best moment was on a walk on Wednesday - he was walking along the path by Ekota School, when he came upon a group of young boys, probably aged 6 or 7. They had squirt guns, and asked him:

"Can we squirt your dog?"

Molly LOVES water, so this was an easy one - Bry said they could, as long as it wasn't in the face.
(To which one of the boys said, "Just like I can't shoot my little brother...")
The kids let loose with their Super Soakers and Molly loved it.

I've been putting the sprinkler system on each night, and she has a 'favorite' sprinkler. She bites and chases the water as it goes around, and has a blast. She gets wet and tired, and keeps cool, and (some of them) the plants get watered. So far she has kept out of the pond.

Today I took her to work to visit the girls. She was really good until we had to leave. The store has automatic doors, which Molly entered when we came in. When we were leaving, she was NOT using the same doors. Dug her heels in, refused to move and wouldn't even accept a bribe to come outside. She ended up sneaking up on the doors, around a concrete pillar and out, so the doors wouldn't 'get' her.

So far dad has only called once to see how his girl was doing...

He wasn't talking about me...

At least Bryan didn't get lost this time while walking Molly!
